DFS Share showing blank or invisible

I was doing some testings with DFS. Found that a standalone dfs in my test domain was not accessible from a winxp box which was in another untrusted domain.

netmon traces were not going beyond /DFS

I bumped in many forums...googled across for google number of times...did many registry modifications but in vein. I was thinking my method of creating the dfs was wrong...

But finally i came across this solution http://support.microsoft.com/kb/916204
