Windows XP - Find if the operating system is 32 or 64 bit

A quick way to find if the Operating system is 32/64 bit is by using the System Information tool.

Type "msinfo32" in your run menu without quotes. and press the enter key.

It would launch the System Information window. In the System summary selection, look at the system type to your right.

If it reads, X86-based pc, then its 32 bit . Otherwise it is 64 bit.
