Use the Output window to check what's happening during a project build in Visual Studio

Output Window can be used as a diagnostic tool to figure out what is wrong during a build. It helps you understand the build process to a great extent.

To show the Output Window you can either press CTRL + ALT + O or change the setting under "Projects and Solutions".

You can find an option called "Show output window when build starts" under Tools - Options - Projects and Solutions. Check the option and you shall have it during every build.
