My office's server was on internet and we changed our ISP.

once I received the new DLink router I was no able to ping its IP (192.168.1.1) from my Server.

I have been through the belwo link and check all configuration which are ok as per article.

I can Ping the same router from my office's other machiness connection through RJ45 but cannot ping or connect to internet or go inside of the router via its IP 192.168.1.1

Please help.....

Ping response alone wouldn't suffice. - [)ia6l0 iii replied to Mohsin Ayub on 14-Nov-09 11:52 AM

The UpStream and the DownStream Data statistics on your device properties should throw more light into the problem and should point you to the reason of the problem. However, this varies for every Internet Service Provider (ISP).

LAN statistics like the Packets Dropped also adds enough information to the statistics needed by your ISP to determine the problem.

So a quicker solution is to talk to your ISP.
