SharePoint - how to remove the new document option in sharepoint.

Hi all,

I have form library in sharepoint 2010. In that library list workflow is associated. Whenever any document is added to 
the library, new document symbol in green color is appearing behind the document.I have googled and got to know that
duration of new document symbol can be reduced or extended using code or command. 

My requirement is: First time when document is loaded new document symbol should be there. But when approver approves the document that new document symbol should be disappeared. Is there any way to do this??

Any help is appreciated.

Hi Rahul,

If checks if the current page has a document library view and if so – locate and hide its “new” menu item…

Just add it to your page, and call HideNewDocumentMenuItem on body’s load:

To delete a document library, please follow these steps:

  1. Open a web browser and log into SharePoint.
  2. Click Site Actions and select Site Settings.
  3. Under Site Administration, click Site libraries and lists.
  4. Click the Customize link for the document library you wish to delete.
  5. Under Permissions and Management, click Delete this document library.
  6. Click OK to confirm.
