Is it possible to host a silverlight 4 application with iis 5.1 because im using windows xp and want to host my silverlight 4 application on the internet. If so, how?
IIS isn't relevant - Robbe Morris replied to shan on 21-Oct-11 02:16 PM
Your .xap file is just like a .swf file. You set your Html OBJECT tag to reference your silverlight .xap file. You might need to add the .xap file as a MIME type in IIS but that would be it.

On IIS 5.1 (XP)
- Run the IIS management console (found under Administrator tools)
- Select the default web site node and right mouse click. Select Properties
- On the HTTP Headers tab, press the File Types button and add the following entries in the table below

IIS5.1 is not for a production website. Use a server OS not a desktop OS for a web server.
