If you installed the SQL server 2008 express and you are missing the ability to manage full text indexes inside SQL server 2008 management studio. I.e. you are missing the storage folder inside management studio.

First make sure you installed http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=B5D1B8C3-FDA5-4508-B0D0-1311D670E336&displaylang=en (the version without advanced services does not support free text search functionality).

Second Try to http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=01AF61E6-2F63-4291-BCAD-FD500F6027FF&displaylang=en. Besides fixing some bugs it added the ability to manage full text indexes on my machine.

thanks Dipa and Riley for responding.
It is confirmed that i install i have installed sql server 2008 with Advanced services.
I have also downloaded sql server 2008 sp1. and installed it.
But still i can't see the storage folder when expanding the database.

note: During installing i have added feature to an existing instance of sql server .

What should be done now?

Are you sure there is such option like "storage folder" there in SS2008 express edition ?

Because i was searching it and found the article here also there is no such folder checkout this:

I have sql server 2008 full installation on my personal machine. There exist storage folder when expanding the database.
Now i am working on virtual machines and practicing with sql server express but can't find such option.
