Visual Studio .NET - HTTP 404.4 error when page navigation is done in Ultrawebgrid

Asked By Priya Vadhanam on 12-Feb-12 11:12 AM
Hi,
I'm facing an issue with the Page navigation in Ultrawebgrid; where in the below error has been thrown when the page in a grid is navigated..

HTTP 404. The resource you are looking for (or one of its dependencies) could have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.

Also, the pageindex_changed event of an ultrawebgrid is not being fired when the navigation is performed; allowpaging and enableviewstate properties of the web grid is set to true;the other events of the same grid (ActiveRow_Change) placed in the aspx.vb file is working fine,,

am not getting a single clue anywhere in the aspx.vb file while debugging, can anyone please provide solution for this issue???

I think Infragistics third party control are not properly installed or missing some dll that's why you are getting such type of error

If the pageindex_changed  event is not firing, then it some other issue that is causing a redirect. You could gather more info by seeing the url in the browser window that caused the 404, and also a step-by-step debugging to figure out the  redirect.

Without looking at the code under the pageindex button clicks, this is the best I can offer.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

If you publish your website a .dll and a bunch of other files will be created to run your application. There will likely be no .vb files in the resulting publish.

If you open your solution explorer, right click on the solution and pick "publish" Visual Studio will publish your website and generate the files necessary to run the website on a server. You'll pick a directory where these files will be created.

Move all of the generated files to your web server.

and also check Is the correct version of the .NET framework selected in the ASP.NET tab (in IIS) for this application? .

Hope it helps you.
