There are two ways you could proceed, disable the Self Tuning Threshold (STT) monitor and replace it with a static samples monitor, or change the sensitivity of the STT.

I would recommend disabling the existing monitor "IS Virtual Bytes Monitor". Then I would create a new monitor per http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb309655.aspx
I would recommend using 2.5 GB as the threshold if you have the /3GB boot switch, or 1.5 GB if you don't have the /3GB boot option set as the threshold for alerting.
