hi

DateTimePicker Web control is similar to the windows DateTimePicker control. The control exposes two properties: the SelectedDate and the FormatType. SelectedDate represents the date user selected and FormatType represents the format in which the date string should be displayed. The demo provided shows the usage of the control.

Then i advice you to take the jquery datetime

use jquery

<script src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.4.4/jquery.min.js"></script>

<script src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jqueryui/1.8.7/jquery-ui.min.js"></script>

<link href="fbox/jquery-ui-1.8.11.custom.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />

<script src="fbox/jquery.ui.datetimepicker.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script>

<script type="text/javascript">

  $(function () {

  $('#TextBox1').datetimepicker();

  });

</script>

<input type="text" id="TextBox1" />

OUTPUT:

The above link cotains a demo page which demostrates the funcitonalities of eworld time picker control.They also have a date popup control and other free set of controls.If you click on the download link, you will be asked about the .Net vesion that you want to use and they will give you the suitable version of controls(dlls) which you can then reference them in your .NET 1.1 project and use them in your pages.

Smr,

Thank you for the reply. Even though both the links didnt work directly for me. The idea that the coders used behind the codeproject link gave me an idea of what i could do.  Just in case someone else might need it i'll just mention what i did. I used a a text box and a calendar control and a linked label. on load set the visibility of the calendar to false. On click of the link button i dispalyed the calendar just below the textbox as if it was bound. On click i filled in teh date and set visibiltiy of calendar to false.
I have all my controls on a gridlayoutpanel. When you add the calendar the panel by default grows to calendar size there by pushing all the controls below under a blank white space, to fix this i manually edited the html code to set the height of the panel.

thanks everyone.. this forum is great..
