Do these in the same order,

a) Verify that you need to do is verify the path for the subreport rdlc. Most of the cases, this is where many go wrong. If the path is right, then look at the following options.

b) Ensure that you are passing all required parameters as the subreport expects. If you don't pass all required parameter, then the SubreportProcessing evnet fails, and this error is thrown.

c) Verify that the SQL query that returns the sub-report data is not failing. Use SQL Server profiler, to verify such errors.

d) If you can test in your local environment, then use Visual Studio's output window - the report viewer shows more details on this error.

Hope one of these helps.

It seems the Data Source issue, are u using same datasorce for sub reoprt also?If not, be sure to check the data source of the subreport to make sure it is correct.

Did you verify all four steps that I mentioned?

I have a RDLC report with sub-report on c#.net the report is working well on my computer but when i rebuild it and deploy it on the user the sub-report returns an error "sub-report could not be loaded".  But when i test the compiled dll on my laptop and to some other developers laptop it works well.

The problem is when i deploy it to non developers computer the sub-report returns an error.
do i have to add a reference dll?
What dll?
thanks in advance for the help.

Please provide answers to these questions:

a) Does the main report run on the non-developers' machine?
b) What does the sub-report do?
