Microsoft Powerpoint - Hiding a slide from audience YET be able to view it on the screen.

Asked By Stephen Melnichuk on 14-May-12 10:12 PM
I want to hide a slide from the view of the audience but at the same time have it in normal sequence on the monitor (ie., not using "hide slide" feature. I have done this before but have forgotten how. When this is done a "star" appears beside the slide - I can refer to it yet the audience does not see it.
HELP!!!

When this is done a "star" appears beside the slide

But the star appears when you try to apply animation on slide or to the content of slides.

However for showing hidden slide during presentation you can right click on slide. And can Go to and select the slide with parentheses.

Might be this trigger hidden memories for the thing you are answering for.

With reference of-

  • To hide a slide, right-click the slide that you want to hide, and then click Hide Slide.

The hidden slide icon Icon image appears with the slide number inside, next to the slide that you have hidden.

  • To show a slide that you previously hid, right-click the slide that you want to show, and then click Hide Slide.
