Microsoft Access - Spell Check suddenly checks all textboxes, all records..want it to check only one textbox

Asked By Eunice on 03-Dec-12 05:58 PM
I have Access 2000, and spell check just stopped working the way we expect it to over the weekend.  Before this it would spell check (upon clicking F7) for just the textbox you are currently focused on.  Now it will spell check the entire form, all textboxes, all records, even though my Cycle is Current Record.  How can I get it back to checking just the one textbox for the current record?  Old copies of my database, that used to work, are now not working the same as they used to.

Network people said no Microsoft update happened.
I finally found the answer though to my problem....had to put it in KeyDown action instead of _KeyUp

Private Sub txtSCAlertDisposition_KeyDown(KeyCode As Integer, Shift As Integer)
If KeyCode = vbKeyF7 Then
'MsgBox "F7"
' Reset the keycode so that help isnt displayed
KeyCode = 0
With Me.txtSCAlertDisposition
.SetFocus
.SelStart = 0
.SelLength = Len(.Text)
End With
RunCommand acCmdSpelling
End If
End Sub
