hi ,

i need help for excel data , i have one coman no in column C and against this unique no one name in Column F but it`s may be diffrent   in need its same . like below.

Month	y n	SERIALNO	Name
Dec	Y	456325	Geeta
Dec	Y	852369	neena
Jul	Y	456325	Geeta Ltd
Jul	Y	852369	Seta

ineed this above list like this:

Month	y n	SERIALNO	Name
Dec	Y	456325	Geeta Ltd
Dec	Y	852369	Seta
Jul	Y	456325	Geeta Ltd

Hello anu,
How are we to determine which is the correct value to be entered?  I can understand extending Geeta to Geeta Ltd but I am not sure how to decide to replace neena by Seta.
Could you not use data validation to ensure that standard entries are made into the cells?

Hello Anu,
OK.  But how is the system supposed to know that?  That is why I think you need data validation  so that the person entering the data can only enter valid values in the cells.
