SQL Server - Error installing MSDE - SAPWD switch?

Not a great beginning to transferring my Access database to SQL Server. When I try to install the version of MSDE I just downloaded from Microsoft, I immediately get the following error message:
A strong SA password is required for security reasons. Please use SAPWD switch to supply the same. Refer to readme for more details. Setup will now exit.
I tried the readme file and can't understand what they're saying to do. Any ideas?
THey want you to create a password

for the "sa" *System admin" adminstrative account.
Lot's of people leave it blank, no can do. Need to supply a good strong password.

Put the line
in the setup.ini file where XXXXX is the pwd of your choice. It will work.

Open the setup.ini and add the SAPWD=sa_password to the [options] section:

Open a command prompt window.
From the command prompt, use the cd command to navigate to the folder containing the MSDE 2000 SP3a setup utility:
where c:\MSDESP3aFolder is either the path to the folder into which you extracted the MSDE 2000 SP3a files, or the Desktop Engine SP3a folder on the SQL Server 2000 SP3a CD.
Execute one of the following commands:
To install a default instance configured to use Windows Authentication Mode, execute:
where AStrongSAPwd is a strong password to be assigned to the sa login.
