Inserting Special Characters in our Code through the Character Map Utility

There are times when we need the symbols like Copyright , Registered e.t.c. in our code. We could just type them out if we know the Keystrokes.

Sometimes you need to use the special characters like ®, ¤, © …. in your office applications. 

 
The easy way to find these characters is by using the Character MAP Utility provided by Microsoft. (Run menu -- charmap.exe). 
Select the Symbol you want and notice the keyboard shortcut for the same in the bottom-right of the window.
So for future ease, remember this keyboard shortcut, and save precious time. 
We can see that for the ® key, the keyboard shortcut is Alt+0174. 
NOTE: These keyboard shortcuts work only with the Numpad keys, not with the standard numeric keys found above the QWERTY keys.
