Convering text to Proper case in Excel
By [)ia6l0 iii
Have you heard of Proper function in Excel?
The Proper function lets us convert text that is in improper case to Proper case
in a quick way. The Proper function takes a single argument i.e. the Cell Address.
If you have the text "KeywoRDS should BE CASE sensitive" in the cell A1,
then = Propert(A1) would give you
"Keywords Should Be Case Sensitive" (without quotes in both the cases)
However, note that the VBA/Macro approach that we usually would adopt would return
us the most accurate results compared to the Proper function. The Proper function
has little shortcomings like applying improper case to the first letter to words
in between a sentence, treating words like McDonald as "Mcdonald" and
more.
