Enable or Disable Line Numbers for Text Editor in Visual Studio

You can easily enable or disable Visual Studio text editor line numbers via the Options dialog.

Just go to Tools -> Options and click on the Text Editor item in the tree, like shown in the following figure.

In the All Languages item, you can check or uncheck the Line numbers checkbox to enable or disable line numbers. We can also enable or disable line numbers for specific languages. Just select the specific language, like C#, from the tree. You will see the same Line numbers checkbox on the right.
