When you try to install SharePoint Foundation 2010 Beta on Windows 7 x64 you get the following message: This product requires Windows Server 2008 (x64).

When you receive this error message:

First, extract the exe file Somting like this: C:\en_sharepoint_foundation_2010_beta_x64_456151.exe /extract:c:\SharePointFiles

Then, add this <Setting Id="AllowWindowsClientInstall" Value="True"/> to your xml config file: c:\SharePointFiles\files\Setup\config.xml

Finally, in the command prompt, type the following:
c:\SharePointFiles\PrerequisiteInstallerFiles\FilterPack\FilterPack.msi
and then:
c:\SharePointFiles\Setup.exe
