This explains how to find absolute value of the number in oracle using mathematical function, ABS.
There is a Mathematical function in oracle by the name, ABS which is used to find the absolute value of the given number.
Syntax: ABS(n)
Here n is the number that needs to be converted to the absolute number.
Ex1: SELECT ABS (-100) FROM dual;
This returns 100 as result.
Ex2: SELECT ABS (-100.75) FROM dual;
This returns 100.75 as result.
Ex3: SELECT ABS (100) FROM dual;
This returns 100 as result.
