Microsoft Powerpoint - Link to specific page in PDF file from PPT
Asked By Shirlene Wilkin on 12-Jan-09 03:42 PM
I have a user who is insistent that she can insert a hyperlink or action in a PPT that will open a PDF file to a specific page within the file. I have searched everything and tried a couple of tricks but nothing works. I did try to put #4 at the end of the link path but that didn't work either. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks in advance for any help I can get,
Shirlene

you could only make this happen if the PDF was
served up by a web server. In other words, you had to access the PDF via an
http:// link, not a file link.
This may also help; it's a bit old but may still be valid:
Link to PDFs from HTML

try this link

Hi,
It is not so easy but you can do it by action setting.
open action setting and in the run program box write like this
"Full path of your acrobat reader"/A"page=2OpenActions""your pdf path"
don't forget comos
