SharePoint - cannot connect to the server at this time.

Hi All,

   Do any one have an idea about the error

   "cannot connect to the server at this time. changes to your data cannot be saved"

while trying to peform expot to spreadsheet in sharepoint site.

Thank s for the reply.

But i am trying to perform export to spread sheet not trying to edit ant content.

On clicking export to excel the Open/save excel option appears and on the excel it gives the message 'cannot connect to server.changes to the data cannot be saved'

When we are try option export to spreadsheet from the below site, the following error displays

 " Cannot connect to the server at this time. Changes to your data cannot be saved" (messagebox it displays).

Note :  Not working on VISTA SP1-IE8 systems only, Same is working for production site, only dev site its not working, and also we dont have permission to edit in data sheet view.

Tried all mentioned workarounds in microsoft forum.

 Have checked in google still same result.
