Microsoft Powerpoint - Insert SVG into PowerPoint

Hi,
I'd like to insert an SVG into a PowerPoint slide (PP2007).
I tried to use the instructions in: http://www.indezine.com/products/powerpoint/ppsvg2.html

But I get an error "Object library not registered" , but I understand it is a known issue : http://www.mail-archive.com/svg-developers@yahoogroups.com/msg02660.html

So, how can I do it?
I'd prefer not to convert SVG to other formats, but if I must, do you have any recommendation (for the format and tool)?

Are you talking about a SVG (Scalable Vector graphics) image format?

On a slide, you would just need to

a) Choose the Insert Menu - Picture.

b) Make sure you mark the "Files of type" as "All files(*.*)

c) choose your svg image

d) Click Insert.

I am talking about Scalable Vector Graphics.

I get an error: "An error occurred while importing this file. C:\....\indezine.svg "

This file can be opened with IE.

Please advise.

The image that i used is available here.

It could be an invalid SVG file or size could be a problem. I am not sure of a resolution though.

SVG files are not binary.
they contain XML.

hi!
could you please tell me how you've created the KFC.svg?
It's working with outlook, but it's the only svg file I know which is working!

The KFC logo is in fact a PNG file with the wrong extension.
MS Office does not support SVG with the exception of Visio.
The only workaround is to use the freeware application "Inkscape" to convert the SVG into a wmf or an emf file. Microsoft are way behind when it comes to SVG - Internet Explorer is the only browser not to support the format.
