Microsoft Excel - Change Pivot Table based on Row Selection from another Pivot table

basically, i have a pivot table that has DELEGATE as the Report Filter and CoureCode as the Row Label.  When i update the report filter, this shows different course codes attended by that delegate.  What i then want to do is to update a Master pivot table that holds averages for all course codes based on the course codes that come up in the 1st pivot table.  is this possible.
