ASP.NET - Paypal with Asp.Net - convert INR to USD

Asked By Shreya Trivedi on 30-Sep-10 12:41 PM
I am displaying my products' price in INR currency and i m using paypal for online payment. Once user goes to paypal, it does not convert the INR currency amount to USD currency amount (e.g. my product price is 300 Rs. (INR) when it goes to paypal it still shows $300 (USD) instead of converting it to approximately $6 (USD)). Do I need to write any code for converting INR to USD at the time of redirecting to paypal? If so, how shall I get the latest currency conversion rate?

According to Paypal you will need to include the currency if it is not in US dollars. You can refer https://cms.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/?cmd=_render-content&content_ID=developer/e_howto_api_ECSimpleIntegration on Paypal site.

INR is not supported in Paypal. I need to convert the amount from INR to USD and pas the same to Paypal when the user is redirected from my site to paypal. So how shall I get the latest currency conversion rate and how shall I pass it to paypal?
