SQL Server - Great Plains (Dynamics GP) version 10 error upon logging in

Asked By Kate Brennan on 28-Oct-10 05:43 PM
Hi,

We are working in a Citrix environment on GP 10 SP 3. When our users log in to GP they get an error message saying:

Internet Explorer Script Error
An error has occurred in the script on this page
Line: 320
Char: 6
Error: The system cannot find the file specified
Code: 0
URL: file:///C:/Users/Temp.RARS.001/AppData/Local/Temp/12/then some temp file, file name changes occasionally
Do
you want to continue running scripts on this page?

Unfortunately, this is not as easy as installing Office components. Additionally, I tested giving myself full access rights to the Temp directory and tried to log in again, but still no love. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Thanks.

When Great Plains is run, it looks for an xml preference file that should be stored in "%appdata%\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\UserData". When the minimize/maximize button is clicked, it then executes a portion of JavaScript that stores those "preferences" (minimized or maximized) to the oXMLBranch[1].xml file. If this folder (UserData) doesn't exist however, the program then can't read or write user's preferences to this file, and it also doesn't create the folder on its own.

So, the file and location referenced in the error message is irrelevant?  We only need to create a \UserData folder in the ...\Microsoft\Internet Explorer directory?

Thanks
