does windows 7 not support DataStage tools

I think Windows 7 doesn't support any server.. so it will not work. Use windows XP, Server 2003 or Windows NT for installing it

If you mean you want to install ds client on Win7, that's no problem.
But if you want to install DS EE, I think it can not work. In the spec, it shows it can only be installed on Unix and Win 2003.
