Windows 7 - deleted email folder - Asked By Gracia on 08-Jan-11 03:55 AM

I accidentally deleted storage email folder and lost all my emails. Is there any way to recover them?

Hey do you use Outlook ?

If its about outlook "SHIFT+DEL" deletion problem then you may want to do some registry changes as deleted items  are still kept in memory.

And if its not this then  you may use some popular tool like Easeus

otherwise here is how can you adjust registry for Outlook case

search for regedit
open regedit
expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
expand and go to SOFTWARE
expand and go to Microsoft
expand and go to Exchange
expand and go to Options
add the entry 'DumpsterAlwaysOn REG_DWORD 0x00000001 (1)'

and after Restart of system

you may go to Microsoft Outlook -> Tools -> Recover Deleted Items...to recover a folder then simply select the corresponding mailbox and select 'Recover Deleted Items...', which will enable you select and recover the Shift + Deleted folders of that mailbox. It will show you all the emails of that folder available for you to be recovered (based on storage quota).

I found this great tool off Piriform, who also make great cleaning and computer cleaning and maintenance software. It's called Recuva (pronounced "Recover")
