Windows 7 - Cannot Create PST file - Asked By Doug on 11-Mar-11 12:58 PM

I cannot create a PST file for outlook 7 on Windows 7 64bit.  I have no previous PST to repair and cannot get the old one back. I have tried unistalling and reinstalling office 2007 but nothing seeems to work. Short of buying another brand new computer for $1400, as this is just 3 weeks old, what do I have to do to get the stupid program to create a brand new freaking pst for itself like an install program should do?  Someone please help me.  Am I doomed just to have no microsoft outlook ever working on this computer??????

Click Start, and then click Run.
In the Open box, type regedit, and then click OK.
Locate one of the following keys in the registry, as applicable:
For Outlook 2003: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Outlook\
For Outlook 2007: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Outlook\

Look for Value Name: DisablePst
Data Type: REG_DWORD
Value: 1

Make sure these keys are DELETED - not present.
Quit Registry Editor.

I appologize for having had two posts. This is my first time posting and I must have double clicked, or hit back on browser, or refreshed or something, because I did not mean to post twice.

I cannot find a DisablePst. Both my HDs came partitioned into two.  I installed Office 2007 Small Business Class on the second partition not on the OS partition.  I am not sure if that is the reason why. The machine has a trial version of 2010 installed on the OS drive.  Is that the reason I cannot find the command? I did a registry search using find in the registry editor. This also came up with nothing.  Also, within office there was a 12.0 and Outlook but outlook was in Office not in 12.0,

There is an Outlook\Addins\OutlookChangeNotifier.Connect   which has a REG_DWORD called LoadBehavior and RequireShutdownNotification but I doubt these help. Is there something else I should do or be looking for?
