To resolve:
1. Unplug USB cable from PC.
2. Open a Command window
3. Type net stop spooler.
4. Type sc config spooler depend= RPCSS start= Auto
5. Type net start spooler
6. Type Sc config plugplay depend= rpcss
7. Reconnect USB cable and test.
It
worked for me with a P1005. Well, it worked for about 2 months then I
shared the printer so someone else could print and it came back. It
happens when either of them print.
So, if it is a single user connected with USB then this should work.
