HI

If the damaged Zip file is on a removable disk, the removable disk may be physically damaged, or the data on it may have been corrupted. In these cases, the only completely reliable solution is to use another, undamaged copy of the disk or Zip file.

There are, however, two other situations in which it may be possible to recover some files from a removable disk.

  1. The removable disk drive that you are using to unzip the Zip file may be malfunctioning. Try using a different disk drive, if possible.
  2. If the removable disk drive you are using to unzip the Zip file is not the same drive that was used to store the Zip file on the removable disk, and you have access to the original drive, try using this drive to unzip. It is possible that the original drive may be able to read the disk; if so, you can extract your files using this disk drive (and have your removable disk drives checked out - at least one of them may have a mechanical issue). Otherwise, the removable disk itself or the data on it is probably damaged.

thanks for the answer but removable drive is not the problem.
The same zip file if sent by the other FTP clients say Filezilla or Fire FTP is reaching at the server. The problem is only with the windows FTP server.

ftp has 2 modes ascii or binary

it will make a mess if you have it set to ascii mode and you send binary over the wire

you need to switch it to binary mode, i assume different default between the 2 servers

thanks for your post
But this problem may not be of binary or ascii mode of file transfer.
Before 10 to 15 days everythinf was working fine. Then how suddenly it stooped working?
and also when i am trying to send the files using other ftp clients file is FTPed correclty.

well i'd just set it to binary mode to exclude this possibility

someone may have changed the default on the server or client

and this can be different between servers

do you k ow what mode it is in when sent?
