Other Issues - Canon Pixma MP280 Error: 0001 0000

Hi there,

I have been trying all evening to get the drivers downloaded for the Canon Pixma MP280 printer. So far I have tried installing the drivers from the Canon website and had no luck. I also found a thread on here saying to copy the usbscan.sys file from C:Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\sti.inf_727905 to C:Windows\inf and C:Windows\Drivers (which I had to create as I am on Vista and it doesn't have that folder there) but it's still bringing up the error message.

I also copied the whole folder (sti.inf_727905) into these other folders.

I don't know what else to do!

The file   usbscan.sys  should be present in both the locations

C:\Windows\Drivers
and
C:\Windows\Inf

Then run the installer again

Go to this page, select the tab Drivers & Downloads, and select driver. If you already connected the printer and Windows Vista/7 said it's installed and ready to use, you do not need to do this, nor you need a CD.
