What is the error code you get when receiving emails?

hello glenn,

couple of questions here

the version of os?
antivirus?
Windows Mail or Windows Live Mail.

one possible fix could be

go to Tools, Accounts, select that mail account, Properties, Servers.Uncheck the box for "Log on using Secure Password Authentication."If that was already unchecked, which antivirus are you running? Some of them cause problems with Windows Mail over time.

hi,

Instead of searching for OE settings or WLM settings, you should be searching the ISP's web site for their mail server settings. Once you know what those parameters are, it's usually easy to apply them to any email client you happen to use.
