Windows 7 - copying text from web to Word - Asked By sam spatafora on 04-Feb-12 12:22 PM

Hi Everybody

I have a minor problem, however it is very frustrating. Could someone please help?

When I want to copy a text from a web page into Word , it will not copy the FULL page. From left to righ,t it will cut off about 10-15% of the document on the right side of the page..

I tried moving the arrows on the top of the page and it doesn’t seem to help.

Am I doing something wrong?

Thank you for your help

There are several reasons why this might be happening

I am asuming you are able to select ALL the text on the Website. (some sites use frames and tables that dont allow for you to select the text an a nice clean order but rather a chopped up cloumn)  if you are getting all the text how are you pasting it to word.
Do you have word open first and a new document waiting for the paste?
Are you using CTRL+V to paste or right click and there are I think 3 paste options (k) keep source formatting (M) merge and (T) text only.

These will effect how your information looks after the paste.
Please provide the website you are trying to copy from if you can and let us look at it.   also you are using win7 are you using word2010?

Thanks Don
