Hello Friend,

At first glance it seems virus issue, but as u said your, AVG does not detect any thing, so here u can try few things. still if it wont work, simply take a backup of outlook uninstall and than install it.

Give a try to these options

1.)Open your outlook in cleanviews
Start > Run > outlook.exe /cleanviews

2.)Find out if there is any integration of your antivirus and outlook, if so disable it.
check in official site of AVG.

Hope it helps!!

I doubt the virus scanner is integrated with outlook,

uninstall the virus scanner and see it it works

This is a memory access violation [the C0000005] due to olmapi32.dll which causes Outlook to crash.  That file is responsible for the Messaging Application Program Interface (MAPI) which is an extensive set of functions that developers can use to create mail-enabled applications.

The causes can be widely ranging from bad memory to a corrupt dll file.  So lets try the easy one first.

Close Outlook and find olmapi32.dll and rename it to olmapi32.OLD.  Open Outlook and allow it to rebuild the file.  Try it for a while and see how it does.
