Hi ,

Is there any tool or software which allows the users to manually control the uploading & downloading speed of a file.
For Eg: If my download & upload speed provided by my service provider is around 512kbps, & when i am downloading only  a file(not browsing anything), i should be able to ctrl the dwnld speed upto the maximum.
Is it possible?
Is there any s/w?

It should be going to the maximum all by itself.  There are lots of things that affect speed.  Your data is hopping through numerous routers on its way to you.  At any point along the way, things can slow down and there is nothing you can do.

Disk speed on your harddrive as well as disk speed on the machine where the file resides also impact how quickly you'll have your file.  Anti-virus software scanning your network and the file itself will also affect how fast things are.
