Here’s what we need to keep in mind.
I checked the web.config and found there is an entry for 'system.serviceModel' but I don’t have .net 3.0 installed on my Windows Server 2008 R2 server.
I enabled .net 3.5 from Server Manager –> Features –> Add Features http://www.dotnetscraps.com/dotnetscraps/image.axd?picture=WindowsLiveWriter/HTTPError500.19InternalServerErrorinII.5/6E89478F/image2.png
