C# .NET - Drag and drop operations on a web form

I have a requirement where I need to provide my web application with drag and drop functionality such as moving files from one folder to another etc. (Something we see on windows applications) and update the database accordingly. I'm looking for a tutorial or sample project or anything that might help me learn about the same.
