hi ,

need help on data validation option in excel, i want when i select drop down list like one is CATOGREY-A,CATOGREY-B,CATOGREY-C, Other , when ever i select catogery A in cell like A4 in next cell B4 drop down list shows Geeta and if Select CATOGREY-B,in next cell shows drop down Neena.

Hello anu,
Is categoryA always only Geeta or are there a number of options to choose from under categoryA?  Same question for CategoryB etc.
Is the Category selection always in A4 and is the result always in B4 or does the second cell depend on which Category is selected?

CATOGREY-B	Machine system setting incorrect
CATOGREY-C	Stand-by or advance toner provided
OTHER CATOGREY	First toner
OTHER CATOGREY	MULTIPLE MACHIES
OTHER CATOGREY	Restricted Entry
OTHER CATOGREY	SHIFTED

If i hve chose catogrey A in next cell drop down box show only CATOGREY A Description
