Microsoft Excel - Need to compare two dates and return value

Asked By Tammy on 03-Jun-13 04:16 PM
I have 2 columns, Forecast Close Date and Actual Close Date. If the Actual Close Date is LATER than the Forecast Close Date, then I need the text "YES" returned in the next column. However, if the Actual Close Date occurred  before the Forecast Close Date, then the cell should remain blank.

Thanks for any help!

Hello Tammy,
Try in the third column:
= If(Cell containing ActualCloseDate > Cell containing ForecastCloseDate, "YES", "")

Harry
