If you don't know what a component is or what type of component you are considering building, why do you think you can create one for a web application?

Actually my senior says for sms alert and email alert we will be making a component which will keep on sending those stuff. but he did not tell me how does it make.
Therefore I asked you. If you help me a bit will be highly appriciated.

In visual studio .net class library project.
