Microsoft Word - I cannot type text in a table cell. I changed font so legible but can't type in any other

I opened an old document transferred from my old PC. The font was not legible so I changed it and it became legible.  There are empty rows in the table but I cannot type in them. I cannot get the cursor in them.  I can delete rows and add rows but cannot type in them. Any ideas?

To answer my own question! It seems to be a feature of the font INKPEN2 SCRIPT that when you press the enter key the cursor disappears. If you just type it works. Lordy lordy! What is the point of that? Gave me hours of hassle.
