In my experience, the value of the certification is getting your resume noticed by the human resource person (or software) filtering resumes for IT managers and leaders.  So, yes, it has some value.  This is particularly true if your resume is light on sophisticated application development experience.

The certification won't land you the job though.  If you can't handle the interview questions well, the certification will be worthless.
