Microsoft Excel - Is there a way to access VSTO Excel Ribbon selected tab event ?

Hi,

I'm using VS-2015 and MS-Excel 2007 and creating a custom add-in.

If the users select the tab only then I want load the drop down list items. I am not able to find a way to do it.

Ribbon load functionality is fired when the excel is started so I cannot use this... Is there a alternative or a way to trick the excel.

Hmm.  You could try the Excel Macro Recorder and see if it generates any code when you execute this step.  I don't think so but it is worth a shot.
