Install Sharepoint

This page provides you components required for sharepoint installation.

To install sharepoint is very complicated process and needs 6-7 hours but the 95% of tasks are just running setup file and only 5% of tasks requires technical knowlege. You will need to follow below sequence to complete your sharepoint environment ready to use.

1. Virtual PC 2007 and its Additions
2. Windows server 2003 SP2
3. IIS
4. Mail server
5. .NET framework 3.0 or above
6. Enable ASP.NET 2.0 for IIS using adpnetiisreg.exe utility. Run "aspnetiisreg.exe -i" command from VS command prompt.
7. Install WSS or MOSS
