Baldur's Gate Ah, yes, the

Baldur's Gate

Ah, yes, the klepto. Well, who's ass was it that got the party slaughtered by a lich, because of his hunt for shiny objects? Hmmm? Who makes the party wait as he raids every house on the level?

Balder's Gate I have to

Balder's Gate

I have to agree that the "Stuck up Paladin" and the "Arrogant Mage" are in deed important to any Quest. I ask however that they do not leave out an important member of the party known to slay the mighty.... I mean the once mighty Firkraag.

THE GREEDY THIEF.......

Do not penalize the "Greedy Thief" for looting the bodies of monsters and sometimes the corpse of a fellow party member. For he can not resist his urge for shiney objects.

The INSANE way of thinking

The INSANE way of thinking and the philosophy behind his madness. Basic recipe: 1 part nice, happy and very opptimistic - 1 part Evil, violent and crude. See the INSANE way of thinking is like taking a two prong approach to every and all situations.

For Example: The INSANE walks into work 15 minutes late. While stepping ever closer to his cubicle, his boss approaches him and ordering him to join him in his office. Not knowing for sure(assumable for being late) what his boss wants, he humors him by joining him in his office. His boss explains to him why being late is not good for productivity and how its going to cancel all hopes for the INSANE finally recieving his hard earned promotion on his annual review next month. Then the boss pauses for the inevitable, tell your sorry ass excuse why you were late and apologize for actually making me work therefore pulling me away from my daily ritual nap. Well the INSANE could handle this perdicament one of two ways. The first, being the nice, considerate and respectful employee. The INSANE would say, I'm sorry boss for being late, my alarm didn't go off because of the power outage and traffic was heavier than usual. I'll make it up to you by working late tonight and coming in sunday without overtime, lowering myself on the food chain and cowering like a dog. The Second, being the angry, Evil employee with random spontaneous violent outburst. The INSANE would pause and stare at the boss making him ever more unconfortable and nervous before he whips out his cock and slams it down upon his desk only to say that sounds good and all, but how about you suck my cock while I rip of your head and skull fuck you, you shit for brains excuse for management. While being escorted out by sercurity, the INSANE would attack both guards simaltaneously smashing their worthless faces in the concrete floor only to smear his feces upon the front door of the corporate office.

The INSANE way of thinking is like a random wheel. You never know what you're going to get when you spin it. You may recieve a compliment or you may recieve an ass whooping. But keep in mind the INSANE is not evil, nor does the INSANE hate. He is just that, INSANE.

Living and Working in the

Living and Working in the Washington, D.C Metropolitan area.

BWUHAHAHAHAHAHA.

I'm a little confused. Ground zero for nuclear war, the biggest target on Earth (there's an X on the top of the White House on the maps of every country on earth except us), and the general reality I see is that I could rent here, live here, work here, just not eat here.

Very, very frustrating. You see, I've become accustomed to a certain standard of living. OK, I'm a snob. A big, fat, white American snob. True, my pappy came from the swamps, I know what hogshead cheese is, and I've been known to call people Bubba. BUT. I drink single malt scotch, I shop at Sutton Gourmet, and I have a washing machine in my apartment, thank you very much. Of course, I spend four hours a day on the fucking highway, but one must endure sacrifice for the pleasures of prosperity. Very protestant ethic minded I am.

I just want to have my cake and eat it too. But, can I? Oh, questions, mysteries, fucking conundrums.

I'm going to be looking at a different locale tommorow. More expensive, hence the bitching, but almost worth a smaller supply of whiskey.

Dudes and dudettes of the

Dudes and dudettes of the world, or at least the geeks among you! Slashdot is running a story about a clear hard drive container mod for the washed masses. Rockin!

BTW, went apartment shopping today. Saw one that needed to understand "truth in advertising." Utter Shithole. Fucking dive. Ick. Ick. Ick.

Ah...the guilty pleasure of posting

Ah...the guilty pleasure of posting on a weblog using a company computer sanctioned only for "Job Enrichment." Enrich this, you fascist bastards! I, for one, think that every modern job site should have internet terminals for use by anyone, anytime, for anything. Power to the working class. I'll supply a link to the communist party web-site later. Anyway, the Vinster has been having some doubts about work lately and is considering a new occupation. Professional whacker? Contract beater? (no, you morons, I'm not talking about THAT kind of whacking and beating, get your heads out of the gutter) Maybe I can get a job with the Blade and we can spend our lunch times killing corporate pin-heads in a frenzied club-fest. (probably not, but one can always hope) Before I'm drawn back into the world of credit cards and bullshit, let me state something of vital importance: Bagel sandwiches are the emmissaries of God...Mmmmmmmmm...divine bagel.

Baldur's Gate : Dark Alliance

Baldur's Gate : Dark Alliance

I'm not a big fan of consoles. Save for a passing addiction to Gran Turismo and its descendants, I could really give a rat's ass less when it comes to console games. Frankly, my hands are too big for those tiny buttons, and my hand eye coordination hasn't been honed by years of excessive abuse. Frankly, PC games offer more bang per buck, and moreover, there far easier to obtain illegally.

Any PC gamer is likely to spooge at the mention of Baldur's Gate. As an inept and often ignored leader of a party of dragonslayers [The Stuck Up Paladin, The Arrogant Mage, and the Klepto] (*we killed Firkraag -- nooch*), I've been known to collapse in puddle when I hear the call - "Swords, not words!"

This was the hook that dragged me into that damned black box. An arcade like pursuit of slaughter and glory, in the fucked up city of Baldur's Gate. Dark Alliance, a PS2 console game, has brought this PC gamer out from the safe city of hard drives, 3d acceleration, and hardware upgrades, to the gaming world's equivalent of the macintosh. But, fuck it - as Lilarcor would say, "hack and slash your way to fortune."

Death and destruction, with just enough of an rpg edge to lay claim to the D&D; heritage.

In parting, let me say - "Never had rats, not enough once." And no, that doesn't have to make sense. Its 12:25, I'm tired, I'm hungry, and I want to play that fucking game. I can not allow this addiction to take on the pull of Max Payne or Wizardy 8, because I need a salary, and unlike Wil Wheaton, I don't get paid to play games.

I would like to know

I would like to know exactly how useful search engines can be. Do a search for "My Skull Is A Cavity" and you'll never find us.

Which, if you think about it, given that Yahoo owns Geocities, is pretty fucking stupid.

I think I'm gonna add meta tags to the html, reference sex 5k times, women 10k times, and "My Skull Is A Cavity" at least 50k times.
